PAID CLINICAL TRIAL

  • Lasting up to 11 months
  • 12 Clinic Visits

YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes & HbA1C level 7.5% to 10%
  • 18 to 65 years of age with BMI of 30 to 45

Type 2 diabetes is a disease in which your blood glucose, or blood sugar, levels are too high. Glucose is your main source of energy. It comes from the foods you eat. A hormone called insulin helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Obesity is a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes, a disease that occurs when blood sugar levels are too high. People who are obese are seven times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than people who are a healthy weight, while overweight people are three times more likely.

YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Have a diagnosis of Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG)
  • Are 18 years of age and older

Hypertriglyceridemia is a common condition characterized by high levels of triglycerides, a type of fat, in the bloodstream. Individuals with severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG) have triglyceride levels more than three times the normal level. SHTG can lead to multiple serious conditions, including cardiovascular disease (CVD) and acute pancreatitis.

YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Male or Female 18 years old and up
  • History of Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a general term that describes a disease of the heart or blood vessels. Blood flow to the heart, brain or body can be reduced because of a: blood clot (thrombosis) build-up of fatty deposits inside an artery, leading to the artery hardening and narrowing (atherosclerosis)
