  • Have a Diagnosis of Focal Seizures
  • Are 18 years of age or older
A focal seizure, also known as a partial seizure, is a type of seizure that originates in a specific area of the brain. 
The symptoms of a focal seizure can vary depending on the location and severity of the seizure. Some common symptoms include: 
  • Abnormal movements, such as jerking, twitching, or paralysis on one side of the body
  • Sensory changes, such as numbness, tingling, or burning sensations
  • Changes in awareness, such as confusion, staring, or loss of consciousness
  • Hallucinations or illusions
  • Emotional changes, such as fear, anxiety, or déjà vu
