YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Have a diagnosis of Uterine Fibroids or Endometriosis
- 18 to 50 years of age
Uterine fibroids Also known as leiomyomata, these are non-cancerous muscular tumors that can grow in the uterine wall, outside the uterus, or in the lining of the uterus. They can be small and not cause any symptoms, or they can be large enough to increase the size of the abdomen.
Endometriosis This condition occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus and attaches itself to other organs or the lining of the abdominal and pelvic cavity. It can be a painful and chronic medical condition that can affect the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and pelvic tissue.
